Exploring the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista Palace

Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace has announced the official flagging of the 1,011-room property, located in the Disney Springs™ area, following an extensive multi-million dollar hotel-wide renovation. Formerly known as Buena Vista Palace Resort & Spa, the newly-transformed property is an Official Walt Disney World® Hotel and represents Hilton’s continued expansion in the Orlando market.

I recently went on a tour to see first hand what an amazing renovation the hotel has done. The Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista Palace is a true visual delight! From the moment I walked into the lobby, I was in awe of the beauty of the place. The lobby has a sleek yet inviting contemporary feel about it. 

Steps from the main lobby overlooking the Float Lagoon is Sunnies, an expansive bar and warmly inviting lounge where guests can catch up on sports games or enjoy a drink. The views of the pool area are lovely and would be a nice spot to catch the evening sunset. 

The guestrooms have a new updated design. Contemporary yet comfortable.

The property is conveniently located inside Walt Disney World® Resort, This is the closest hotel to Disney Springs™ and the views of it are amazing including the nighttime fireworks! H room views of nightly theme park fireworksThey even have a walkway that takes you to the new pedestrian skyway bridge right to Disney Springs™.

On the heels of a multi-million-dollar property overhaul, Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace - Disney Springs™ Area announced their elevated food and beverage program by debuting a new casual poolside restaurant, Shades; three-meal restaurant, Letterpress; a lobby bar and outdoor terrace, Sunnies; and gourmet grab-n-go market, Citrus28.

Letterpress the alphabet-themed restaurant, which boasts dangling alphabet letters as décor, eclectic children’s knick-knacks such as a massive chalkboard, alphabet pillows, rubber duckies and letter games, as well as panoramic views of Blake Lake and the new float lagoon lazy river, offers guests a dining option for three meals of the day. There is a meet and greet with favorite Disney characters at the vibrant Character Dining breakfast every Sunday.

At Letterpress, guests can enjoy the feel and design of a modern printing shop in a bright white and green color palette while dining on classic American fare, seasonal favorites, and extensive three-meal menus with Pinterest-worthy dishes including seasonal Florida whole roasted snapper and the double cut jumbo pork chop. Every Sunday, families can enjoy a brunch in the heart of all the magic and experience the Disney Character Breakfast with meet-and-greets with Walt Disney World®’s most cherished characters. Letterpress is open from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. for breakfast and from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. for dinner. 

Citrus28 is a gourmet, brightly-colored, grab-n-go market and café featuring Starbucks coffee, freshly prepared light meals, casual bites and local favorites prepared daily. The vibrant shop features a retro-themed, nostalgic candy bar with a variety of 90s-themed toys, gadgets, and beloved sweet treats. 

The hotel has opened a reimagined recreation area, inclusive of the Float Lagoon, new pools, and cabanas, as well as a new poolside restaurant, Shades, serving lunch and dinner.

Shades features approachable, fresh American cuisine with coastal Florida flavors, alongside hand-crafted cocktails with local ingredients. Specialty dishes include Key West-style shrimp cocktails, Gulf Shores blackened salmon salad, pan roasted local fish, coastal fish tacos, poolside Kosher dog, and classic Florida Key Lime pie. 

The Wayfarer frozen cocktail is a tropical delight!

The Coastal Fish Tacos included fresh grilled local fish topped with fresh cilantro crema.

Now that's an Ice Cream Sandwich!

Shades offers a selection of eight local beers from Debary, Orlando, Tampa and Fort Lauderdale through its partnerships with Funky Buddha Brewery and Central 28 Beer Company. The property recently partnered with Florida-based Central 28 Beer Company to produce an exclusive beer for hotel guests, the ‘Citrus 28.’ With the brewery remaining true to their hop forward approach and using the finest ingredients, the American Pale Ale’s signature ingredient is real grapefruit. Shades is open from 11 a.m. to 8. p.m. and will host live music every Saturday.

The new expansive recreation area includes a new event lawn, Float Lagoon lazy river, adult lap pool, and cabanas. 

 For guests, groups, and weddings seeking a rejuvenating variety of tailored beauty services, Kay Casperson Spa, Salon & Boutique is the full-service spa and salon featuring a private spa pool. Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace also offers a lap pool and cabana service, a zero-entry pool with a Float Lagoon, complimentary Disney Theme Park shuttles, a 24-hour fitness center, and high-speed Internet Access.
