Exploring Central Park in Winter Park Florida

Whenever I'm visiting Park Avenue in Winter Park Florida I have to take some time to stroll through Central Park. The park is located opposite of the shops and makes for a nice nature escape when exploring Park Avenue.

Central Park is an 11 acre Park in the heart of Winter Park.

The stage is the backdrop to many events that the park hosts throughout the year. My favorite events are the 4th of July Festival and Winter on the Avenue.

Take note that no pets are allowed in the park.

The beautiful oak trees make for a nice canopy and they have been around for some time!

The park is home to the Winter Park Sunrail and Amtrak station. It's nice to be able to hop on board and to do some exploring.

One of my favorite sections of Central Park is the Rose Garden at the southern border of the park. It's a great spot for photos. There are benches in the Rose Garden where you can sit back and enjoy the sights and smell of the flowers.

There are a few fountains in the gardens. Each has seating nearby. There's something relaxing about the sound of water. Grab a book or bring your lunch and just be.

There are events all year long in Central Park. I love how the Winter Park High School Homecoming Dinner in the park seems to set off the fall and winter fun festivities. That's when the park becomes a magical place with glowing lights and a beautiful Christmas tree.

Central Park is a great park for people of all ages. Young and old and ages in between always have happy faces when they are here.
