The Falcon Bar & Gallery

I always enjoy a good neighborhood bar. A nice selection of craft beer is a must. I don't need a big list, just enough variety that I don't feel like I have end up with the usual craft. I prefer smaller bars to large ones that tend to be loud. No smoking is how I roll. The Falcon Bar & Gallery is that bar, making it a great spot to enjoy and evening out with friends.

The Falcon Bar & Art Gallery is that place that you can grab a draft and hang out with friends. This is more than just your neighborhood bar; The Falcon is also a cool art gallery.

I like The Falcon's location in the heart of the Thornton Park neighborhood. This corner bar offers seating outside, at the bar or there are a few tables for your liking. Parking is a premium in this neighborhood, but there are a few spots out back if you can snag one.

The Falcon Bar has a different themed local art display each month.  I've stopped by and enjoyed a few different displays including one based off the Shining for a Redrum exhibit. What I like about the art being displayed is that it's not just one artist like many bars and coffee shops will do. There are a variety of artist using different mediums. I think it's cool to see how other artists interpret the theme.

My recent visit was in May when they were hosting 50 Shades of Pink. I thought it would be fun to have our Orlando Lady Crafters meet-up for a night of beer and naked female art. Lauren  who was working behind the bar welcomed our group of ladies. We had a lot of fun hanging out with her that evening.

The Falcon had a few special beers for the ladies on tap from Sweet Water Brewing Company.  They were also raffling away buckets of beer swag every half hour of our event. You got a raffle for each beer purchase.

Along with the monthly art displays, The Falcon also has events happening each month.  They are fun and creative and you can find them on their Facebook Page. They also post drink specials on Facebook too. Why yes, I'll enjoy a $3 Cigar City Apple Pie Cider. The Falcon is also a stop on the monthly Thornton 2nd Thursday Wine & Art Walk.

While The Falcon doesn't serve food they do have a small menu from Dexter's that you can order off of.  Stop by on Sundays when the serve $2 Bloody Mary's, $3 Mimosas & $4 craft beers, nice to go with your brunch from Dexter's.
