Exploring Orlando With Visits to Parks, Museums and Local Bars

I hope you all are enjoying summer! The rainy season is upon us, so I got out when I could to go enjoy a few local parks.  I did a nice bike loop around town and stopped at six different parks.

My first visit was Mead Botanical Gardens in Winter Park. This hidden oasis is a lovely place to walk around. There are a handful of different sections to explore. It's a great way to enjoy an afternoon and it's free!

From there I road to Baldwin Park I made a stop at one of my favorite fountains in Orlando. Blue Jacket Park is a great spot for families to come out and enjoy sports and a picnic.

Continuing down to Lake Baldwin Park where I enjoyed a ride around Lake Baldwin. When you go along the trail you pass through three other parks including Orlando Veteran's Memorial Park, and Harbor Park.  Each one is different and adds to the beauty of the walk around Lake Baldwin.

Thursday I joined my Orlando Lady Crafter Directors at Tap & Grind for some tasty craft beers. Tap & Grind is one of our favorite craft beer bars in Orlando.

While Tap & Grind does not serve food you are able to order food next door at Super Rico Columbian Bistro and enjoy it at the bar.

Later that evening I stopped by Sportstown Billiards, such a great place with games and cheap craft beer. If only it were smoke-free....

Friday I did a little exploring at the Cornell Fine Arts Museum at Rollins College. This was my first time visiting and I look forward to coming back. The museum is free and they have free docent-led tours on the weekend.  I stopped by to check out their Family Day with fun free activities for the kids. They are having another Family Day on August 8th from 2pm-6pm.
