Exploring Orlando with Visits Downtown, Winter Park, The Milk District and Walt Disney World

What an emotional week. My oldest graduated from high school on Tuesday. I'm so proud of her! We've had quite a journey moving around a bit and going from school to homeschool to high school. I'm excited for her new college adventure in Tampa.

After the graduation at the Amway Center, our group met for lunch at The Boheme Restaurant at the Grand Bohemian Hotel. We had excellent service and the setting was wonderful. The food was great too. I look forward to returning soon.

Later that night the kids wanted to do their own thing, so Bryan and I rode our bikes over to the Milk District for Tasty Tuesdays. I really enjoy this food truck event. I like being able to grab some dinner and enjoy it sitting down at the bar with a beer.

Bryan and I enjoyed some craft beers at Sportstown Billards. I'm always shocked by the great prices they have for good beer. The downside is this is a smoking bar, but if you go early it's not too bad.

We got a couple of Tamales from the Tamale Co food truck. These were delicious. I'm going to keep my eye on their schedule and make sure I come back to Tasty Tuesdays when they're around.

As we were heading to go home we made a quick stop into Etoile Boutique. Such a cute shop with vintage clothes, some local shirts, and fun accessories. I need to make sure I give myself more time for my next visit.

Wednesday was the last day of school for my other two. I thought to celebrate we'd go to one of our favorite ice cream shops for a treat. I love Lu' Lu's Ice Cream. I get a different flavor each time and they've all been yummy!

Since the kiddos were done with school we thought why not head to Walt Disney World? It was a gorgeous day out making it perfect to enjoy a little Disney.

Bryan and I stopped at Big River Grille for their tapping party. Then we took a stroll along the Boardwalk over to Epcot and enjoyed some goodies over in the French Pavilion. We had a great time.

Sunday Bryan and I made our way downtown to Lake Eola. I wanted to stop by the Orlando Farmer's Market and get some produce. I hadn't been to the market in a while. They have expanded and it looks great. I'd really like to make it to this market at least once a month.

We capped off our weekend by joining some friends for some food and drinks on the patio at Barley & Vine Biergarten. You can feel the summer heat, so I think our days of enjoying the patio during the day will have to wait till the fall. I would like to come back at night when it's cooled down.

A fun week of exploring. Now that school's out I'm hoping to do a little more day time exploring. I'd like to make it to Mt. Dora and Sanford this month.  I still haven't been to any springs.  Of course, the beach is a day trip away.
