Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville over in CityWalk at Universal Orlando is a family favorite of ours. We've celebrated a couple of our kid's birthdays at this "island inspired" eatery. It's a unique place to eat and have a fun time with friends.
I've enjoyed many meals at this location. I was recently asked to come in and try some of their specialty burgers they have throughout May for National Burger Month.
While Bryan and I were enjoying our drinks chef Paul came out and introduced himself and talked about the menu a bit. He suggested we start off with an appetizer of the "Drunken" Shrimp Skillet. This was quite tasty and a nice way to start our dining. I especially liked the onions and peppers added to the dish. The baguette for dipping was a good way to soak up as much tequila lime butter as possible.
After enjoying our Perfect Margaritas and Shrimp Skillet it was time to try more drinks. There are many tasty drink concoctions to choose from. Mindy our waitress suggested the Watermelon Margarita for Bryan, and the Chocolate Banana Colada for me. Both were big hits with us. The Chocolate Banana Colada could pass as a yummy adult dessert.

There are four burgers highlighted on the menu for National Burger Month. Chef Paul wanted us to sample all four. We have enjoyed the Cheeseburger in Paradise a number of times. It's a favorite menu item for my girls. Along with the Cheeseburger in Paradise they are offering a Baja Burger, Chimichurri Burger and a Bayou Burger.
The burgers were all cooked to perfection. While I enjoyed them all, my favorite was the Baja Burger. I love avocados and when I can get them on a sandwich, salad or burger I'm all over it. The key lime crema complimented the burger quite nice.
While my favorite was the Baja Burger I liked the others as well. The Chimichurri Burger comes with the sauce on the side. I should have dumped it all on the burger, since it was so good. I loved the caramelized onions on the Bayou Burger, but wasn't so sure about the grilled andouille bacon? I'm not one to put meat on top of other meat on my burgers.

Just when we thought we could eat no more, Paul told us we HAD to try the Chocolate Hurricane. Wow, what a dessert! It not only looked amazing it tasted amazing. The fresh whipped cream was fantastic. Bryan and I could only nibble at this tasty treat. This would be a fun dessert to get with a group of people. I know my kids would love to come in and split one of these.
Just as we were finishing up our dessert we got one last Volcano blow in for the night. It was such a fun way to cap of the evening.
There are many dining options at Universal Orlando. With good eats, good times and fun memories Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville is a place our family always enjoys.
