Enjoying a Spring Day Exploring the Magic Kingdom Park

I stopped by the Magic Kingdom Park yesterday with CK and her friend. We got to the park at opening which I love since it's the calm before the storm.

We made our way back to the new Fantasyland section of the park to see if the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train was running. The ride had been running the day before for Rock Your Disney Side. While the ride was not currently running the CM's did say it would be later.

The girls and I did a little exploring before the crowds. I love how peaceful it is in the Enchanted Forest. I could hear the "birds" and other critters making sounds as I wandered about.

The girls had never stopped by Enchanted Tales with Belle, so they went in while I enjoyed the scenery outside. They loved the experience and I wished I had gone in with them.

It was about ten when we headed back to the Mine Train. There was a line forming along the perimeter of the ride. We decided to go ahead and stand in line. The temperature was already quite warm this early, but luckily we only had to wait about 25 minutes before they opened up the ride.

Once the Mine Train was open the lined moved pretty quick. We waited a total of 35 minutes from when we first got in line. The queue here is interactive, but the line kept moving so it made it hard to look at all the details.

While I thought the coaster was fun I was surprised by how short the ride was. This coaster is a step above The Barnstormer making it a nice option for younger kids. While I enjoyed it I have to say I was expecting a little more. I really hope Disney starts adding more adventurous rides into the mix.

Once we were done riding the Coaster we made our way over to Be Our Guest to see how long the line was for lunch. There were only a few groups in front of us, so we decided it was worth the wait. It was nice to see water out for guests waiting in line. In fact on our way out I noticed they had big umbrellas that appeared would be handed out to help shield the sun from those in line.

This was my second time visiting Be Our Guest For Lunch. We enjoyed it again and I will have a post about it soon.

After lunch we made our way to Frontierland. We had scheduled a couple of Fastpass reservations for Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain. The standby line wasn't too bad for both rides. They had about a 25-minute wait each.

After riding the two Mountains we made our way over to Storybook Circus via the train. This is much more enjoyable than working your way through the bottleneck over at It's a Small World and Peter Pan.

We hit the Splash Pad and the girls went on their way and I went on mine. We had about an hour till our Space Mountain Fastpass reservation.

We were planning on watching the Festival of Fantasy Parade. I had enjoyed the parade very much on a previous visit and I wanted them to be able to enjoy it. Alas, the weather was just too hot to enjoy. The Weather Channel app was telling me it felt like 97 outside, so we all agreed we were ready to go home.

We were going to meet up at the Polynesian for a Dole Whip for the ride home. I enjoyed the breeze while taking the boat. The girls did the AC on the monorail.

We soon found out that the Dole Whips aren't happening at the Polynesian due to the construction of Captain Cooks. What a disappointment! We were already sad seeing our beloved fountain getting ready for demolishing. Though the new DVC bungalows look really cool.
