Weekly Explorations with some Local Eats in Orlando, Cider Parings, Craft Beer and a Nature Fix

I had a fun week doing some exploring around town. I started out my week with a visit to the new 4 Rivers Smokehouse that recently opened up out at UCF.  I'll have a full blog post later this week.

Wednesday I stopped by the Taste of Winter Park with a couple of friends. This was my first time attending this event and I was impressed. There was a lot of good food and drinks to enjoy. Tasty Chomps' Orlando has nice recap of the event.

Thursday was our Orlando Lady Crafters Cider and Cheese Pairing event at OblivionWe had a great turnout with over 20 ladies. We look forward to another year of discovering craft beer in Orlando. Go Epicurista shared her experience on her blog.

Friday night I watched my daughter play in the championship game for the 8A District 5 softball game.  The Winter Park Wildcats won 7-0.  It was their first districts win ever, Great Job girls!  Their next game is for regionals at home on Wednesday at 7pm.

Saturday I found myself out at UCF again. Since I was out that way I thought I'd check out the school's Arboretum.  It was a nice way to get a nature fix. I'll be sharing more on this later in the week.

After we did some exploring in the Arboretum Bryan and I stopped over at The Public House off of University. I like this local pub a lot.

While we were at the Public House they brought in some pizza from Lazy Moon. This picture does not give you the full effect of how large this pie was. I've never seen a pizza so big. I was happy to finally get to enjoy a slice of this local pizza place. It's quite a tasty pizza.

Looking forward this week on the blog I'm going to share my UCF finds. I don't get out that way too often, so it's nice to find some spots worth checking out.
