Weekly Explorations in Orlando including The Coop, East End Market, Cask & Larder, I-Drive and Barley & Vine ~ Plus a Look Ahead

I had a great week exploring Orlando.  I enjoyed discovering new spots and I finally got to check out the Orange County Convention Center and the Amway Center both in the same week!

My week started out great when I headed over to Park Avenue in Winter Park.  I got to stop by the 4 Rivers test kitchen and listen to a panel of local chefs.  Table Talk was a wonderful experience put together by the folks at Rockaway PR.

Wednesday was a beautiful night to walk over to the East End Market.  I love getting a flight of local craft beers from Local Roots.  They now have their beer menu online!  We paired the flight with a tasty sandwich from Houndstooth Sauce Company.

Thursday Bryan and I stopped by Se7ven Bites for lunch.  They serve up some tasty bites in the Milk District.  It's becoming a local favorite in the six months it's been open.

Later that afternoon I stopped by Cask & Larder with a few Lady Crafters.  We were there for the tapping a couple of new beers.  I stopped by with some Lady Crafters and we enjoyed a glass of Imperial Trooper Peanut Butter Stout.

Thursday was a long day, but I had a lot of fun capping the evening off with a stroll around Lake Eola Park.  This is one of my favorite spots in Orlando.

Friday night Bryan & I stopped by Oblivion Taproom to celebrate some good news.  Bryan wanted beers & burgers and that's what we got!

Saturday Bryan had a friend from way back when coming into town for a convention.  We thought we'd do a little exploring around International Drive before we met up for dinner and drinks.  There are lots of cool things coming to that part of town including a new entertainment complex.

I had tickets to the Central Florida Home & Garden Show so Bryan and I enjoyed a stroll over to the Orange County Convention Center.   It was a nice stroll along University.  I was surprised at how lush the landscaping is just on the other side of I-Drive.
Shortly after we met up with Bryan's friend over at the Pub Orlando located in Pointe Orlando.  This was my first visit and it's a fun spot serving up some tasty fish & chips along with a nice selection of craft beers.

After a bite at the pub, we wandered about I-Drive and made our way to Cafe Tu Tu Tango.  This is a great local spot along the drive.  We bellied up to the bar and enjoyed conversations.  The restaurant was the happening spot that evening.
While I was hoping for rest on Sunday a couple of friends called to see if we wanted to join them at Barley & Vine Biergarten.  This new Biergarten just opened in the Milk District.  We had a fun time enjoying some good beers and brats on the patio.

I capped off my week with a visit to the Amway Center.  My kids have been to the Amway Center for concerts, but I had never made it there since our move to Orlando.  Stars on Ice were in town and I got a couple of tickets for the show.  I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the performance.  I look forward to coming back to the Amway Center; it is a pretty sweet arena.

I'm happy to say that I have a slow week ahead!  I need it after going out and enjoying Orlando.
