Weekly Explorations with Local Eats, Craft Beer, and the Magic Kingdom

Spring Break has come and gone. While I wish the weather could have been a bit nicer we still had fun exploring Florida.

Monday started off with dinner at Kesh Restaurant. Bryan and I joined some food blogging friends for a tasty meet-up. Kesh is out by UCF and it's a small local eatery serving up some tasty food.

Tuesday I headed over to Park Avenue in Winter Park. I stopped by Barnie's CoffeeKitchen to hear about the upcoming Central Florida Home & Garden Show. It's taking place this weekend at the Convention Center (4/4-4/6). Barine's CoffeeKitchen will be teaming up with Edible Orlando for some food demonstrations.

Wednesday I enjoyed some delicious eats over at the Smiling Bison. I've enjoyed dining at the Smiling Bison a handful of times, but this was the first time I ever ordered the Smiling Bison Burger. This Burger paired with the fries was amazing!

Thursday Bryan and I headed to New Smyrna Beach. We wanted to check out the New Smyrna Beach Brewing Company. We met up with some friends there. Nice little brewery worth checking out.

We were invited to check out Outriggers Tiki Bar & Grille. We stopped by there for dinner after our visit to the brewery.  They are serving up some fresh food in a fun environment (blog post to come!).

Saturday Bryan & I took a day trip over to the Tampa Bay Area. We met up with some friends and did some brewery hopping. Our fist stop was at the Brewer's Tasting Room. They have some good food to go along with some good beer.

Our second stop on our brewery tour was Rapp Brewery. This is one of my favorite breweries.  They have an amazing Chocolate Peanut Butter Stout. While they didn't have it on draft for this visit they did have a Chocolate Hazelnut Stout which was also very good.

Our last Brewery was a newer one just down the road from Rapp. Pair O' Dice has some good beers on tap and their tasting room is quite nice. We enjoyed chatting with the owner and learning about his beers. My favorite was the Nina Wit.

On our way back to Orlando we grab some sandwiches and treats from Datz Dough. Datz is one of my favorite places to dine when I'm in Tampa. Datz Dough is a lighter version of Datz. While baked goods and chocolates are their specialty there are a few sandwiches you can enjoy.

Before heading home we had to make a visit to Trader Joe's. This location just opened last week.  While it was busy, it wasn't as crazy as I thought it would be. I look forward to when Trader Joe's opens up in Winter Park this summer.

Sunday was a beautiful day in Orlando. While I wasn't planning on doing anything that day I couldn't resist going out and enjoying the sun. My older two joined me on a visit to the Magic Kingdom. While visiting the Magic Kingdom in the middle of the afternoon isn't my favorite; using our Magic Bands for Fastpass+ made the visit quite enjoyable.

We watched the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade and loved it! The floats are a visual delight and the costumes are amazing.

We also noticed how nice Splash Mountain looked after its recent refurbishment.

I'm so thankful there is so much to see and enjoy in our area. I love sharing what I've discovered.  I hope you all had fun getting out and enjoying Florida last week.
