The Courtesy Bar

The Courtesy Bar in Downtown Orlando

I like the vibe of The Courtesy Bar in downtown Orlando. Space is small, but it's a visual delight with a charming look about the place. It reminds me of what Anthropologie would look like if they made and intimate bar to enjoy handcrafted cocktails.

While the Courtesy Bar is known for their cocktails I was happy to see a small but decent deletion of craft beers. I'm more of a craft beer lady so it was nice to see some beer from Capital Brewing, Southern Tier, Unibroue and the like on the menu.

One of my visits I happened to stop by on a Sunday afternoon when they had some delicious complimentary food from Yellow Dog Eats. The bites are available for those purchasing a drink. A nice bonus is they offer happy hour on Sunday so make a bust to the bar for a sweet deal. This "Bar BQ Brunch" runs from 3pm-8pm or until the food runs out.

Along with the specials on Sunday, the Courtesy also has Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 5pm-8pm. You'll find Handcrafted Punch, draft beer, selected wine & wells for $4.

Handcrafted Punch
My visits to the Courtesy have been during happy hour. I have found it to be a nice place to grab a drink and enjoy the atmosphere of the bar. If you are doing cocktails it will take some time for your drinks since each one is handcrafted, but the wait is worth it. While I'll usually order a beer I did sample many of my friend's cocktails. These aren't your sugary concoctions, so if you're a gin and bourbon person you will be pleased. I did enjoy the Handcrafted Punch offered during Happy Hour. The small glass was the right cup for me.

If you're looking for an intimate setting with a nice array of cocktails the Courtesy Bar is for you. There's a bit of a romantic ambiance going on making this a nice spot for a date night.
