Whitewood Mediterranean Grill

I'm usually not downtown during lunch too often, but when I am I'm always looking for something a bit causal over a sit down restaurant. Whitewood Mediterranean Grill is right in the heart of down town making it an easy stop to grab some lunch.

The space is clean and has a nice modern feel to it. It's not a large restaurant and can get busy during the lunch crowd. I like how they have taken this corner space and opened up the restaurant making it bright and airy. It's a great spot for dining and people watching.

I enjoy Mediterranean food and Whitewood offers up a nice selection of some tasty plates. I find the platters to be large enough for Bryan & I to share. All of the platters come with your choice of two sides.  There are about a dozen sides to choose from including Hummus and Tabouleh, and on our first visit we got a Falafel Wrap with a side of Baba Ghannouj. The falafel was good, but I prefer it in pita bread to the wrap.  I also wish I had gotten the hummus over the Baba Ghannouj; while I thought I would branch out I found I should have stuck with the hummus as I found out Baba Ghannouj is just not something I like.

For our second visit we got a Chicken and Steak Sharwarma Platter.  Everything was delicious and I liked all the offerings on our Platter. The Hummus was tasty and I always enjoy a nice Greek Salad.

I have found the folks working here to be friendly and helpful if suggestions are needed. The food is flavorful and they have a nice selection of items from the Platters, to Authentic Wraps, Flatbreads and Panini's, Salads and Sides.  It's nice to have a Mediterranean option while dining downtown.
