I'm not out by Winter Garden too much. When my oldest daughter is playing softball out this way I come to watch her and try to do a little exploring in the area at the same time. I had been looking forward to checking out the Winter Garden Farmer's Market for some time, so I was happy when the timing to visit the market finally worked out for me.
Since we've moved down here I've been to a handful of farmer's markets in the area. I enjoy each one for their own uniqueness. When I walked up to the market in Winter Garden I was quite surprised at the size and the set up. The Winter Garden Farmers Market is set up quite nicely in the heart of this charming town. There is plenty of space for all of the vendors, and you will find a lot across the street for parking.
I enjoyed the park like setting of the market. When I walked up I smiled as I watched the young girls play on the spray ground alongside the market.
The Winter Garden Farmers Market is every Saturday from 9am-2pm. I got there around nine and folks were starting to wander about. I was there for about an hour and I never found it crowded, though I'm sure if you are there around noon you will have many more people shopping about.
I found that because there are many vendors it's best to walk about first and see all the options before you purchase your goods. I was impressed with the variety of vendors and enjoyed talking to a few of them to find out about their products. Since this was my first visit I'm not sure if you can expect the same vendors every week, but my guess is if they aren't there someone else selling what they offered will be.
Do a little shopping, grab some coffee and a pastry and take in the sights. If you're coming around lunch you'll find some tasty options to fill up on before you shop.
I see why this market has been awarded "America's Favorite Farmer's Market"; the set up, vendors and community feel make this weekly market worth the drive.
Check out their Facebook Page and you'll find out if there are any events taking place at the Market. Santa Clause will be there throughout December before Christmas.
